April 6, 2012: Illinois Governor Quinn grants more Clemency and Pardon petitions
As an attorney whose focus is clemency, I was happy to hear Illinois Governor Pat Quinn granted 52 pardon petitions on Good Friday. Gov. Quinn is known for granting clemency (commonly known as a pardon) around the holidays. Arrested for DUI in Illinois? Only if it was dismissed can you expunge/seal the arrest

Q: I was arrested for a DUI in Illinois and given supervision. You said that supervision is not a conviction. So can I expunge my DUI?
A: There is an exception to the expungement law in Illinois regarding a DUI.
