The final touches on a pardon petition
We are almost finished with our pardon petitions for the January 2011 deadline! If you aren’t sure what a pardon actually looks like, here is a picture. This is just one client’s petition. We have 8 copies that are ready to be bound at the printer, then they’ll be shipped to the Illiniois Prisoner Review Board in Springfield. The judge and prosecutor also get a copy. We’ve requested a hearing before the Board, which will take place in April in Chicago. (The Board hears cases 4 times a year.) As you can see, a pardon petition requires a lot of work and organization.
